The Leisure and Amenities Unit has an ongoing aim of improving the quality of its service for all residents of the district. There is a commitment to making access to all council buildings as easy as possible for everyone. Leisure centre buildings have been adapted in a number of ways to comply with the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act, staff have received further training and programmes have been extended to include a number of sessions for people with disabilities.
Newbold Comyn Leisure Centre is an Inclusive Fitness Initiative (IFI) approved site with its gym being equipped with a range of fitness equipment designed to be accessible to everyone, including those with disabilities. Contact the Centre for further details on 01926 882083
