Rural sports coach education grants

To qualify for a rural sports coach education grant a person must :
- Be a minimum age of sixteen on the date of the course.
- Work in rural areas of Warwick District with young people aged 4 to 18 years (in a paid or voluntary capacity) in either a play or sports environment e.g. youth club, after school sports session, sports club.
- Complete and return the application form prior to the course.
Important information
- Only courses that have a play / sport emphasis will be eligible.
- Maximum contribution per person : £75.00.
- Areas Eligible : All rural areas that fall within the boundaries of Warwick District (Not any of the towns : Leamington Spa, Warwick, Kenilworth or Whitnash).
- Only the cost of the course will be eligible not travel expenses, costs of additional resources etc.
- Payment will not be made if the course is not completed.
- All claims for payment must be made within one month of completion of course.
- An application cannot be made if the course has already begun.
- The qualification / training attained must be used to support the work being done with the club / group / organisation stated on the application form.
How do I apply?
- Complete the electronic form. Alternatively a paper copy of the application form can be obtained by calling 01926 456221.
- On receipt of your application form we will write to you and confirm whether you are eligible for the scheme.
- If eligible, you will need to pay for the course and send your receipt to The Youth Sports Development Team in order to obtain a refund, with details of payments (name of group / organisation, address, telephone number). Payment can only be made to a recognised organisation (e.g. school, sports club). This will take at least 28 days to process.
