The dog warden service deals with the following
Dog fouling
The Dogs (Fouling of land) Act 1996 allows a local authority to make an Order requiring owners to clean up after their dog in areas designated under the order. We have designated all park and recreation land, all highway land with a speed limit of 40 mph or less, all car parks, church yards etc. Persons contravening the Order may be prosecuted through the courts [ maximum fine £1000] or given a fixed penalty charge.

Lost dogs
Any dogs collected by the dog wardens will on the first occasion be returned to its owner if known [i.e dog which has a collar with identification disc or ID chipped]. If the dog has previously been returned to its owner and has escaped again, the dog is likely to be transferred to council kennels. After 7 days unclaimed dogs become the property of re-homing organisation.
Any owner who has lost a dog and thinks it may have been found by the dog warden, should contact 01926 456734 or e-mail ehpollution@warwickdc.gov.uk. Please note that dogs cannot be returned over the weekend.
