The Council has prepared a Draft Supplementary Planning Document on Sustainable Buildings. This expands upon policies DP11 (Drainage), DP12 (Energy Efficiency) and DP13 (Renewable Energy Developments) of the Warwick District Local Plan 1996 - 2011.
The Draft SPD will be subject to a six week period of public consultation between 29th August and 10th October 2008 during which time you are invited to make comments.

As part of preparing the SPD the council is required to undertake a Sustainability Appraisal. The first stage of this is the preparation of a SA Scoping Report which was subject to a five week period of consultation between 25th March and 29th April 2008. As a result of the comments received as part of this consultation changes were made to the baseline data and review of plans, policies and programmes. An amended Scoping Report has now been published. We have also prepared a Draft Sustainability Appraisal. Copies of both documents can be viewed below.
You are also invited to comment on the Draft Sustainability Appraisal alongside the SPD.
