Warwick District Council has produced a design guide to help those involved in preparing proposals for new residential development. The document gives advice and guidance to developers to help ensure a high standard of design and layout is achieved on new developments. This includes advice on layout, density, character, local architectural styles, materials, access and parking, landscaping and open space. The guide is relevant for all new residential proposals, including extensions.
The guide has been prepared following public consultation with design professionals, amenity societies, planning committee members, planning officers and local people who wish to see good design in the District. The Council has adopted the guide as Supplementary Planning Guidance and it expects all planning applications for residential development to conform with the guidance given.
Copies of the Residential Design Guide can be purchased online or by sending a cheque for £7 (made payable to Warwick District Council) to Warwick District Council, Riverside House, Milverton Hill, Royal Leamington Spa, CV32 5HZ
