Conservation Area Advice and Publications
If you wish to make changes to any property or develop any piece of land in a conservation area, you should check first what restrictions may be in place. A property or a piece of land that lies within a conservation area may have extra planning restrictions in place in order to protect the character of the area.
The Council publishes advice for owners of properties in conservation areas. This is available in 2 publications Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas (226kb, PDF) and Historic Buildings. A development Guide.
The Council also publishes Conservation Areas (both) leaflets for all the rural conservation areas which are available free of charge from the Planning Department and Conservation Area Statements for the urban Conservation Areas of Royal Leamington Spa, Warwick, Kenilworth and Whitnash. These are available as a full colour document at £10 each or £15 by post from Warwick District Council, Riverside House, Milverton Hill, Leamington Spa.
