Back a winning deal at the Racecourse
Whilst season ticket prices are due to increase across the district, there is good news for those who park in Warwick.
St Mary’s Lands Area 2 car park, shortly due to be renamed "Racecourse" will be offering a half price yearly season ticket from April, at a cost of just £195. In addition we are actively promoting the availability of a three month season tickets rather than just offering monthly or yearly season tickets.
Environment Portfolio Holder Councillor Michael Kinson said "Yearly season tickets in our long stay car parks in Warwick district offer excellent value. In most cases the cost of a season ticket equates to the daily parking charge for just over 100 days. A season ticket is therefore ideal for people who work regularly in the town centre."
"We hope that this will be particularly popular with monthly season tickets holders who can’t necessarily afford the one off cost of yearly season ticket and are therefore currently applying every month. We will assess the demand for the three month season ticket and consider if we should offer a wider range of season tickets from April 2009. This won’t change the policy of us offering a refund on any unused months on a season ticket," he added.
The overall aim of all these initiatives is to further improve the customer service we offer.
