The Council's Environmental Health Food Safety inspectors publish the awards given to premises in the district.
Awards are issued to businesses that handle open foodstuffs. All assessments for awards are made at unannounced inspections so that food safety management can be evaluated under normal operating circumstances.
Businesses are given Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. Download the ratings below:
The awards are determined by assessment of:
- Hygiene and safety, including food handling practices/procedures and temperature control .
- Structure, including cleanliness, layout, condition of structure, lighting, ventilation.
- Confidence in management, taken from their record of compliance, technical knowledge and food safety management skills.
All food inspections of appropriate businesses from the 12th June 2006 are shown. If a premises is not on the list then it may not have been inspected since 12th June 2006.
