The opportunity

A unique opportunity has arisen within this forward-thinking and high-performance council to lead the newly created Customer and Service Improvement Directorate. Working to the Chief Executive as part of the Senior Management Team, this role provides the opportunity to work in a progressive authority that continually challenges the status quo and strives to build on excellence.

The role

This role will play a fundamental part in driving forward the council’s Corporate Strategy and Building on Excellence agenda. Managing Revenues and Customer Services, ICT and the newly-merged Organisational and Performance Improvement Services the successful applicant will be expected to deliver efficient and increasingly effective services without compromising on customer expectations and service delivery. The role will also be pivotal in driving through and managing change initiatives that support continuous improvement.

The person

A strategic player, you will be able to demonstrate the ability to operate at a senior management level and are likely to currently be operating at a Head of Service level or equivalent. With extensive and strong leadership skills and well-rounded management acumen, you will have experience of delivering change initiatives and have been a catalyst for change in this or previous roles.
