Come and join in the celebration
Warwick District Council invites you to a unique event - the raising of the Olympic Flag marking the start of the build up to the 2012 London Olympics.
As part of a national celebration of this occasion we are hosting two 'flag raising' events in Warwick district on 24th August 2008.
Victoria Park Bowling Greens – Archery Rd, Leamington Spa
Raising of the London 2012 flag by Chairman of Warwick District Council, Councillor Judy Falp at 4.30pm.
Free entry to all members of the public and an opportunity to try your hands at bowls at the superb facility from 1pm – 5pm under the expert eye of volunteers from Royal Leamington Spa Bowls Club. Free of charge.
Racing Club Warwick – Hampton Street, Warwick
Free Barbeque and Sports Day (all ages welcome) 12-5pm. Flag Raising at 3.15pm by Mayor of Warwick, Councillor Anne Mellor.
