Performance Management
This area outlines the essential elements of the Council’s integrated framework for performance management and explains how they relate to each other. It includes an overview of the framework; Service Planning, portfolio holder statements, meetings and reporting frequencies and the Corporate Strategy.
Performance Results (Performance Indicators)
The Council publishes performance results annually within its Best Value Performance Plan and during the year via it Quarterly Performance Reports. The Council also monitors the annual Quality of Life performance results which are collected and prepared by the County Council as an indicator of the progress the District is making. Comprehensive Performance Assessment (Continuous Performance Assessment)
Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA) is an independent inspection process undertaken by the government to assess the Council’s performance and inform future improvement planning. European Foundation for Quality Management Excellence Model (EFQM)
European Foundation for Quality Management Excellence Model (EFQM) is an internationally recognised quality management model which provides a means of assessing and comparing an organisations performance and track progress over time. It provides a clear and structured way to identify areas of strength and areas for further improvement in order to help the Council further develop its future improvement plans. Best Value
The Council has a Statutory duty to ensure its services provide Best Value for local residents This is achieved by undertaking service based and cross cutting service reviews and taking a systematic approach to exposing service areas to challenge, comparisons, consultation and competition.
