Black and minority ethnic (BME) population size
Warwick District has a population of approximately 125,000. It is economically and socially diverse with rural areas served by market towns, as well as larger urban centres. The District is generally prosperous with wage levels above the national average. There are however, areas within the District that suffer from considerable economic and social deprivation. The 2001 Census indicates the black minority ethnic community population accounts for 7.1% of the total Warwick District population.
