Whilst the authority does not seek to offer general business advice it does support organisations who undertake this as part of their key role. It supports the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, through their small business advice service and farm advisers. The authority has worked closely with Warwickshire College, in their role of providing a wide range of training programmes for business and within this has had considerable success in gaining European and regional funding.
There are a variety of other external sites for business development and support in the region, including:
- 2Wm, is a regional site developed in partnership with the Regional Development Agency (Advantage West Midlands), BT, Coventry University and the European Commission.
- The Minority4business portal ensures that minority businesses have access to and take-up the available business support service relevant to their particular needs.
