It is necessary for each vehicle and all drivers to be licensed. There are no restrictions on the number of this type of licence which the council issues.
Private hire vehicles can only respond to pre-arranged bookings and cannot park on the ranks or in the street plying for hire.
Applications
If you wish to apply for a private hire drivers licence, a private hire vehicle licence or a private hire operators licence then please contact a member of the Licensing Team on (01926) 456113 or email to licensing@warwickdc.gov.uk

If you have a complaint about a private hire vehicle or driver please contact a member of the Licensing Team on (01926) 456113 or email to licensing@warwickdc.gov.uk, you can also complete an online complaint form. Please ensure you have the drivers badge number the vehicle plate number or the vehicle registration number.
Under the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 any person who makes provision for the invitation or acceptance of bookings for private hire vehicles in the district needs to be licensed.
