Advice for businesses in Warwick District in the current economic climate

If your business is affected by the economic downturn don't leave it too late before asking for help and advice. The following organisations can provide support and have emergency programmes that may be able to help.

 

Warwick District Enterprise Team

Can provide business support for existing and new business.  If you are thinking about starting a new business and want to find out what help and advice is available contact Ian Kirkwood. 

The Enterprise Team can also provide practical support offering business premises for new or early start ups.  Serviced offices are available on 3 month notice licences.  Another option available is hot-desking, plus you could take advantage of the recently launched subscription packages,with increased additional benefits.

Business Link West Midlands

These are challenging times for businesses - but don't feel you have to face them alone. Business Link is the principal provider of business support in our area, providing FREE information, assistance and expertise to help you get through the current economic crisis.

Government has launched an on-line procurement course “Winning the Contract”.  This is a FREE resource to help businesses (and in particular SMEs) learn about public procurement and how to bid for public sector contracts. 

The Business Link website also contains a list of Top 10 tips for saving money by reducing waste and using resources efficiently.

Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber’s Business Support Team offers a range of business services.   

People looking to start their own business in Leamington, Warwick, Kenilworth, Whitnash and other surrounding districts can obtain help and support through one to one advice sessions. There are regular sessions available at the Althorpe Enterprise Hub.

Warwickshire College

The College specialises in working with businesses to create individual organisational needs analysis, focused on providing practical support.

Support West Midlands

Whether you’re a business looking for advice on how best to manage your debts or you’re an individual looking for new employment, this new website created by the West Midlands Task Force is designed to point you in the right direction.

Federation of Small Businesses

Jobcentre Plus (JCP)

Providing support with your individual staffing issues and access to a Rapid Response
service for businesses making redundancies.

Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS)

Providing advice and guidance on all legal issues connected to business restructuring, alternatives to redundancy or the legislation regarding making redundancies, ensuring the principles of good practice are applied to the way all staff are treated.
