An Arts Strategy for Warwick District Council, 2009-13
The Arts Strategy for Warwick District was published in Spring 2009.
The Arts Strategy presents an overview of current arts provision within the District and includes an Action Plan based on public consultations carried out over summer 2008. The Action Plan is intended to provide a framework for the delivery of the Council’s Arts Development Service until 2013. A full version of Warwick District Council’s Arts Strategy is available online at http://www.wdcprintroom.co.uk/culture_portal.html.
Warwick District Council wants to work with a wide range of partners at local, regional and national level to achieve the objectives set out in the Arts Strategy. We hope that it will be useful to our partners and potential partners, and to local residents and artists, in understanding our priorities and how we might work together.

Snapshots!
Warwick District is home to lots of exciting arts activity, here are just a few examples of recent developments and what is happening in 2009-10...
Warwick District Music Promoters’ Forum to launch a new website
WDMPF have produced their ‘anti-clash’ diary and ‘Music To Your Ears’ since the mid 1990s – these invaluable resources are now available through a new interactive website www.musictoyourears.org.uk. WDMPF report that their diary “is a tremendous help in publicising musical events, enabling promoters to make known their concerts and assisting regular concertgoers and visitors to exercise their wish to listen to beautiful, live music.” It is hoped that the site will provide an online ticket booking system through a direct link to Oxboffice in the future.
Leamington Music
Leamington Music is currently running its winter season of concerts. Keep an eye out for the September - March 2010 concerts including the series of international String Quartet concerts in the Royal Pump Rooms Leamington, the Early Music series in St. Mary’s Church, Warwick and after Christmas Music in the Round in Warwick.
Please visit www.leamingtonmusic.org for further information.
