Arts Development Strategy
Warwick District Council are creating the next Arts Development Strategy for the next 4 years and we would like to invite you to have your say about the future of the arts in the district.
Meetings are being held at:
- The Assembly Rooms Annexe,Royal Pump Rooms, Leamington Spa, 3rd July, 2pm to 3.30pm.
- The Gap, Warwick, 3rd July, 7pm to 8.30pm
- Abbey End, Kenilworth, 7th July, 7.30pm to 9pm
Please come along and tell us what you think of the current arts scene and what you would like to see in your area.
All venues are fully accessible.

Artist in Residence 2007 to 2009 - Anand Chhabra

Anand Chhabra, artist in residence at Spencer Yard in Leamington Spa's Old Town, is a freelance photographer and artist with a background in Documentary and Fine Art Photography. Throughout the residency Anand will be using his knowledge and expertise as a community artist to engage the community of Old Town with the arts.
Vanessa Oakes, writer and arts consultant, says:
'The two year residency offers an exciting opportunity for Anand to work alongside the local community and develop a range of cultural activities that will educate, inform, entertain, challenge and delight.'

Blue Eyed Soul
Live & Local: Blue Eyed Soul Integrated Dance Workshops
A total of 83 people from Warwick District with and without disabilities attended a series of practical dance workshops led by Blue Eyed Soul before watching a signed performance of ‘I do…’ with family, friends and members of the general public at the Dream Factory in Warwick.

Hybrid:arts: We Are Here – A Portuguese community portrait
The outcome of a years work with the Portuguese community in Leamington Spa. ‘We Are Here’ a Portuguese community portrait is a series of images created and curated by the community projected onto the exterior of the Nisa supermarket (formerly Michael’s) 11th to 25th November 2004.
WE ARE HERE ‘may be viewed also as a way to show gratitude to the people of Leamington Spa for welcoming us’.
